Located on the shores of Laoli Lake in Inner Mongolia, the futuristic design was intended to get people to escape their routine urban lives and immerse themselves in the landscape.
Commenters critiqued the project, with one saying "looks proper dystopian" and another writing "it has all of the charm of a beached boat".
